GPS internal antenna

Does the I2C GPS Shield and Stick use the same GPS internal antenna as the Geogram One?

I'm using the Gegram One as an "alarm" system in my Airstream trailer and it works great.  The Geogran One GPS Antenna seems to work even though the trailer "skin" has 2 layers of aluminum sheeting.  I tried to use a GPS unit from Sparkfun to create a GPS tracker (so I can "map" my travels in Google Maps) but their unit's GPS isn't able to work from inside the trailer (even with an external antenna).

If the I2C Shield or Stick uses the same GPS unit as the Geogram One - I suspect it will work just fine.

The GPS chip on the stick is the same as the Geogram ONE.  The shield uses a different version of the same chip (only difference is you can connect an external antenna) but the antenna properties are the same.

I assume that the shield version works fine without an external antenna.
